In the present time, many teenagers have part time-jobs while still being students, but does working as a student help or harm their future? Some people say yes, while others say no, because each person has their own reasons. Let me give you some background.  I have a friend who is basically the backbone of the family. She is the youngest of three siblings, and although her parents are present, she took on a part-time job to help support her family financially. The important thing is that she can balance both college and jobs, and I think teenagers like us should be allowed to work while studying because it teaches responsibility, financial management, and real-world skills.

Someone who has an attitude of responsibility is highly valued in society; therefore, we must learn to be responsible people. When teenagers work, they have to follow schedules, meet the deadlines, and fulfill their job duties; it helps them to become more disciplined. For example, my friend works as a tutor at an institution. In a week, she teaches five meetings, and of course, she has to customize to her college schedule, not rarely, she is overwhelmed trying to manage her schedule. However, she does not ignore her obligations as a student. Additionally, working teaches teenagers time management. They have to balance between college, assignments, and their job, which helps them become more organized.

Managing the financial is also important for teenagers who are working while studying. Earning their own money teaches them the value of hard work and how to budget their income wisely. They can learn how to manage their finances by start to save money for their own needs or their life in the future. This habit will benefit them in the long run, making them more financially independent and responsible adults.

The last is real-world experience. Having a job while studying provides teenagers with valuable real-world experience. The part-time jobs help students develop important skills, such as teamwork, communication, and also problem-solving. For example, my friend works as a tutor at an institution learns how to interact with parents of students to inform their child’s learning progress when in the course. These experiences build confidence to communicate with other people and prepare them for the challenges of adulthood.

In conclusion, teenagers should be allowed to work while studying because it helps them develop responsibility, financial management skills, and real-world experience. But they should manage their time wisely to make a balance between college and a job. By working part-time, teenagers prepare themselves for their future, becoming successful people.
