My Little Home
Oleh Ifan Rohmatullah
I place my book upon the table,
the clock above is standing still,
no battery to keep it ticking,
yet peace and quiet the room does fill.
The toilet door is cracked and broken,
but through the window shines the light,
so big and clean, it lifts my spirit,
and makes the morning warm and bright.
I lie and sleep inside my room,
where dreams are dancing in the air,
the lamp above glows soft and golden,
bringing comfort everywhere.
This little home, though small and simple,
holds memories in every part,
each wall, each crack, each shining window,
forever stays within my heart.
