Petals in Passing

By Muflikhah Ulya

Rose brews gossip with sweet Peony,
In garden talks of “what will be.”
Sunflower nods through every tale,
Counting dreams in each sunray pale.

Lily hums near Daffodil’s sigh,
Both wondering how time flies by.
Marigold dusts off morning dew,
Chasing bees with nothing to do.

Jasmine naps where shadows creep,
While Tulip writes her thoughts in sleep.
Carnation hums an old love song,
Not quite loud, but sweet and long.

Hydrangea leans on Baby’s Breath,
They share soft laughs and thoughts of death
Not in fear, but calm, like rain,
Knowing blooming means some pain.
